Hello Fellow WRITA Members,
I’ve got an update on our new Board member nominations. The multiple spots that were up for nominations and election of Board positions turned out to be uncontested across the lineup. Those positions and candidates running unopposed were the following:
Vice Chairperson
Paul Poledna – ACIO at the City of Mesa, AZ
Secretary
Chuck Boyer – ACIO at the City of Phoenix, AZ
AZ State Representative
Audrey Skidmore – IT Director for the Maricopa Association of Governments
MT State Representative
Todd Feist – CIO at the City of Great Falls, MT
Congratulations are in order as these individuals will officially be placed into Board service at WRITA’s next Board meeting to be held on September 1st at the WRITA Fall Summit in Salt Lake City, UT.
Two other Board positions and one Committee Chair have yet to be filled (we received no nominations for these spots):
- NM State Representative
- WY State Representative
- Cybersecurity Committee Chairperson
A Call to Action
For those positions which remain open, I urge everyone to think about who a good fit might be, then send me their name and contact information. I will reach out to them to explain what a tremendous opportunity they have to benefit their peers across WRITA’s 7 western states through their service, sharing of knowledge, and helping set the strategic direction of the alliance.
I hope to see you at the WRITA Fall Summit in Salt Lake City, UT in September (1st – 3rd). This will be one for the record books. More information on our Keynote speakers, targeted presentations/topics, and our Special Night Out will be coming shortly. Until then . . .
